LITTLE ITALY HOME

The Little Italy Home is a contemporary infill residence that reinterprets Toronto's traditional streetscape through bold colour, honest materials, and thoughtful design. A textured brick base is crowned with vibrant blue standing seam metal cladding, creating a distinctive identity while respecting the scale and rhythm of its historic neighbourhood. Rather than relying on ornament, the brick façade derives its character from a mathematically generated pattern in which no two adjacent bricks project the same distance from the wall. This subtle variation creates an ever-changing play of light and shadow, bringing depth and movement to an otherwise restrained composition.

Inside, warm walnut millwork, abundant natural light, and carefully framed views create calm, functional spaces for modern family living. Designed around simplicity, craftsmanship, and a strong connection to the outdoors, the home demonstrates how contemporary architecture can reinterpret traditional materials through precision, innovation, and thoughtful design.
